Week 8 NFL Recap

Play Crypto Sports: W8 Results & Scores

Main Event - W8

  1. I posted on Discord that PhillyPhantoms needed 8.6 points from Malik Nabers to have a good shot at winning the week. He finished with 10.6 points, with 7 receptions for 71 yards. The rest of the team carried Philly, though, contributing 87 total points from Lamar, Mixon, Gibbs, and Kittle.

  2. CryptoKeepers was right behind, led by a huge performance from Lamb, who had over 140 yards and 2 TDs.

  3. Kelce finally had a big game as well with a 20+ FP week.

  4. Kittlez Kidz had a big week too, getting 48 points with 4 TDs from Jacobs and Pitts.

  5. The difference between 1st and 5th place was only 5 points!

  6. I also mentioned that Black Hawk Down was sitting at 23rd place before MNF, and he made a valiant effort, shooting up to 6th with 24.4 points from the Steelers’ D and Pickens.

No Cap - W8

  1. Another close one at the top. DirtySandwiches finished in 1st place, with 20+ points from 5 players, including 30+ points from 2 players (Hurts and Lamb). This was despite getting only 1 point from the Cowboys' defense!

  2. CryptoKeepers takes the runner-up spot again with a very balanced attack; his lowest-scoring player was Deebo, who put up 10.6 fantasy points for the week, but he lacked the heavy hitters to push him over 30+ points.

  3. Let the Wookie Win, who finished 3rd, did have the heavy hitters (Lamb and Hurts) but had 2 players scoring less than 10 points, which didn’t cut it this week with such strong performances across the board.

  4. MBoyMenaces had a similar approach to CryptoKeepers with a solid, balanced attack, but no major standout players to propel him to the top.

Sunday Special - W8

  1. Mboy’s Menaces handily takes the Sunday Special, even though he only got 1.8 points from Jordan Mason. I guess it doesn’t matter when you’re led by Lamb with 33 points and six others with 15+ fantasy points for the week.

  2. 4th Down put up a valiant effort, but around 14 points combined from the Seattle defense, Watson, and Likely wasn’t enough.

  3. The difference between 2nd and 7th place was only about 8 points so another close one.

Must Be Tight - W8

  1. Footballaz takes the TE game. It was a big week for tight ends—having three TEs with 20+ points (Pitts, Kelce, and Kittle) is huge. His lowest-scoring TE was McBride, who had 9 receptions for 124 yards!

  2. Chargin’ Chucks also had Kittle and Kelce, plus another TE scoring over 20 in Otton, who had a 2-TD game! The weak link was Bowers, who had "only" 8 points.

  3. Bijan Mustard had a great TE week as well, with Kelce, McBride, and Pitts. Even LaPorta, his lowest-scoring TE, had 48 yards and a touchdown. But it wasn’t enough against all the heavy hitters.

New Contests Are Up!

  1. Main Event - W9

  2. No Cap - W9

  3. Sunday Special - W9

  4. Mini-Me [this is small teams, 1 QB, 1 WR, 1 RB, 1 TE]

NOTE: Lineup locks are the same as usual — 15 minutes before the kickoff of the first batch of games on Sunday. The TNF game is the Texans and Jets, so if you have players playing in this game, make sure to get your lineups in before Thursday!

October Leaderboard Results

When we compare to last week, we see some fluctuations.

  1. First, congratulations to Chargin’ Chucks, who maintained his 1st place position for the entire month, just edging out MboyMenaces, who climbed from 5th place last week to 2nd!

  2. Garbage Time and n1stunnor maintained their positions for strong showings in the Top 5 for October.

  3. Croswell River Dogs also moved up from 7th to 5th in the final week of the October leaderboard game.

What Are We Working On?

  1. We’re working on enhancing the referral feature and adding more gamification around claiming weekly credit prizes.

  2. We’re also laying the groundwork to have the NBA ready by the end of the year for daily game participation.

  3. Additionally, we’re working on optimization enhancements to increase efficiency and load times on our primary pages.
